To Make a Donation
All monies donated will go towards enriching
the life of each student. Each dollar donated will enable the
Faculty and Staff of the Arkansas School for the Blind to present
students with opportunities that would not ordinarily be available
to them.
Dear Friend of the Arkansas School for the Blind:
This letter is to request your assistance in helping
us provide the students at the Arkansas School for the Blind a Merry
Christmas. Many of the one-hundred-twenty (120) birth through
twelfth grade students at ASB are from disadvantaged families, and
their Christmas joy is greatly enhanced by individual and
organizational donations to the ASB student gift fund. Each year the
teachers, administrators and staff attempt to raise funds so that
each child can be given a gift from Santa at the school sponsored
Christmas party. With the donated funds, ASB staff purchase and wrap
a special gift for each student. Generally we raise enough money to
spend $15.00 to $25.00 per student.
If you or your organization would like to donate to
our students’ Christmas gift fund it will be greatly appreciated.
Your donation is tax deductible and will benefit a student in a way
that brings smiles, giggles and hope to each one of them. Please do
not mail cash to the school. If cash donations are gathered, please
bring it to the school and a receipt will be given to you
immediately. Checks may be written to the ASB Student Special Needs
account. All donations will be receipted with a thank you note.
I truly appreciate your
consideration of our students. Please feel free to drop by the
Arkansas School for the Blind and visit. It is truly a marvelous
experience to see our children with sensory impairments develop
skills that will benefit them the rest of their lives. We are proud
of our school and students and would love the opportunity to share
them with you.
