A contract is an agreement between employee and the school district and is an instrument primarily designed to be used in public schools. The terms and conditions of employment at the Arkansas School for the Blind are primarily determined by DFA/OPM and the salary is determined by an OPM established teacher salary. Therefore, a contract between the agency and the teacher could not supersede the rules and regulations established by OPM and the Legislature.

 Extra Daily Compensation

Through a school program referred to as extra-curricular program the teacher may earn up to fifteen dollars an hour for after school activities that are in the best interest of the students.
