Welcome to the Arkansas School for the Blind & Visually Impaired website.

Mission Statement

The Arkansas School for the Blind & Visually Impaired will offer statewide quality educational programs and resources to students who are blind or visually impaired, birth through twenty-one, enabling them to become productive, self-sufficient citizens through the involvement of all students, staff, parents and the community.

 

 

SPECIAL UPDATES

ASBVI has to make up 7 (seven) school days due to the recent winter weather conditions that forced the school to close for safety reasons. The following days have been selected as those snow make-up days: April 6, May 11, and June 1-5.

Graduation ceremonies (12th and 6th Grades) will be held on their original dates of May 22nd and May 28th respectively.

JumpStart will run on its original schedule of June 8-26.

Summer Camp will run on its original schedule of June 8-26.

June 4 - Annual STAAC, Pre-K, and Kindergarten Awards Assembly - 9:00 a.m. - ASBVI Multi Purpose Room

June 8 - 26 (M-F Only) -  Annual ASBVI Summer Camp (Here is the application in MS Word format or Adobe PDF format)
